Bodies found in Peshawar identified as Bacha Khan airport attackers

PESHAWAR (Web Desk) – The three bodies found last week in Mattani area of Pesahawar have been stated to be of the perpetrators of the deadly Bacha Khan International Airport attack.

Police officials said the three men belonged to a banned outfit operating in Khyber Agency and had attacked the Pakistan Air Force base inside Bacha Khan airport with rockets along with their associates in December 2012.

They were identified as commander Noor Mohammad, commander Kemya Gul and commander Sher Muhammad.

According to officials, the three were also suspected to be involved in the rocket attacks on the Sheikh Muhammadi grid station on the outskirts of Peshawar which left seven people dead on April 2, 2013.

A spokesman for the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan had accepted the responsibility for the attack on the Bacha Khan airport.
