ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – The process of filing nomination papers for the first ever local government elections in Islamabad Capital Territory has begun today.
Scrutiny of nomination papers will be conducted from the 1st to the 4th of next month while appeals about them can be filed on the 5th and the 6th of the next month. Appeals will be disposed of from the 7th to the 9th.
Candidates can withdraw their candidature on the 10th of the next month and final list of contesting candidates with symbols allotted to them will be published the following day.
Polling for the local government elections in Islamabad Capital Territory will be held on the 30th of the next month while results will be declared on the 3rd of December.
