ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar Wednesday said that all out efforts are being made to bring PIA out of deficit and the fleet of national career will soon reach 40.
Talking to a newsmen in Islamabad, he said the government has started restructuring of national flag carrier from day one and its fleet has been expanded from 18 to 38 in last two years.
To a question about privatization of the Steel Mills, he said initially Sindh Government has offered to purchase the Steel Mills.
Ishaq Dar said the government has reduced the fiscal deficit by 50% and Pakistan’s economic progress is best in the region.
To another question, he said tax and energy reforms were must for economic stability of the country and enhanced tax collection was the only way out to overcome fiscal shortfall.
He said the government is focusing on tax reforms for economic stability and prosperity in the country.
