ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval Tuesday phoned his Pakistani counterpart Lt-General (retd.) Nasir Janjua to discuss situation after attack on Indian airbase in Pathankot.
According to a statement Ajit Doval, in conversation with Nasir Janjua, welcomed the statement of Pakistani foreign office in which Islamabad condemned the terrorist attack on Pathankot airbase. He termed it a positive development in Pakistan-India relationship.
Earlier this day the Pakistani Foreign Office spokesman strongly condemned terrorist attack on Pathankot Airbase in India and expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of lives.
Addressing a press briefing Qazi Khalilullah said that Pakistan itself is victim of terrorism and can feel the pain of tragedy faced by the affected families.
He said being in the same region, both countries should remain committed to dialogue to cope with the challenge of terrorism.
The Spokesman said Pakistan is in close coordination with India to eliminate terrorism.
