ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – The recently elected local bodies representatives of Islamabad called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Speaking on the occasion the Prime Minister said that plans and efforts are underway to make Islamabad a real model city. Nawaz Sharif said adequate funds had already been allocated for this purpose.
The Prime Minister said that the city deserves to be developed on modern lines and asked the elected members to join hands for the purpose.
Nawaz Sharif emphasized the need for pro-actively implementing the developmental projects and advised the elected representatives to play their due role in that regard.
The Prime Minister said speedy work has been ensured on building motorways, power projects and other projects under the China Pakistan Economic corridor.
The Prime Minister assured the elected representatives of all out support from the government in developing Islamabad city on modern lines.
