Unidentified men release four missing workers of PIA

KARACHI (Staff Report) – As many as four missing employees of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) were Monday released by ‘unidentified men’ in North Nazimabad area of Karachi.

The four workers, including Joint Action Committee leader and People’s Unity President Hidayatullah Khan and Vice President Zameer Chandio, went missing since February 2. Other two missing workers maintained identities as Saifullah and Mansoor Dhalwan.

Talking to newsmen after the release, Hidayatullah Khan said that they were not aware about those who had picked them up. We were kept at an unidentified location for six days and released earlier this morning with our eyes covered, he added.

He however said that “we do not which law enforcement agency had kidnapped us,” which suggests that JAC believe that their workers were taken into custody by police or other law enforcement agencies.

Earlier on Sunday JAC President Captain Sohail Baloch had threatened to carry out a rally as a protest against the ‘kidnapping’ of four PIA workers.
