LNG import will help to overcome power crisis, says Petroleum Minister

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that import of liquefied natural gas (LNG) would help overcome gas shortage and power crisis in the country.

In an interview, he said LNG would be supplied to the power plants, which had been shut down because of fuel  problems.

He said it would also be supplied to fertilizer plants which would help reduce import of the commodity.
