KARACHI – Gold prices registered downward trend in domestic market of Pakistan on Friday after they reached record high earlier this week.
Data shared by All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association showed per tola gold price dropped by Rs300 to reach Rs276,700.
Similarly, the price of 10-gram decreased b Rs256 t settle at Rs237,226.
The yellow metal also registered losses in the international market where per ounce price decreased by $2 to close at $2,663.
A day earlier, gold extended gains in domestic market to take prices to record high amid rising international rates.
The per tola gold price increased by Rs1,500 to reach Rs277,000, the all-time high rate in history of the South Asian country. Similarly, the price of 10-gram surged by Rs1,285 to settle at Rs237,482.
