KARACHI – A local news channel in Pakistan sparked new controversy with the taboo topic of communication with Satan, séance, telepathy, and talks with spirits.

A program named The Dark Room by Samaa TV, featured a local artist who claimed to have powers to communicate with Satan. The woman Lala Rukh described an experience during the Asr prayer when she allegedly saw Satan beside her and characterized him as an “elegant middle-aged creature” dressed in suit.

She mentioned how Satan tempted her, suggesting, “You’ve tried enough asking God in Sujood; now try asking me instead.”

The interview sparked widespread backlash on X and other social platforms, with critics accusing TV channel of promoting Satanism and polytheism in conservative society. Some condemned the portrayal of Satan and calling for action against the channel.

As the backlash continues, many are calling for responsible media practices to avoid promoting harmful ideologies.
