Daily Pakistan has started publishing average weekly new channels ratings of different programs aired at different time slots. Daily Pakistan is providing you an insight as to which channel or show is watched more. This week we have also taken Geo Super and PTV Sports for comparison as there was PSL going on and almost everyone was tilted towards this popular sport. The results were astonishing. PSL left behind all news media channels and their popular shows.
Our ratings are based on data provided by the Pakistan only media rating agency, Kantar Media (Media Logic). They provides ratings of different TV channels and programs based on which show is being watched the most at any given time. Kantar Media collects this information through specialized devices installed on televisions in homes throughout Pakistan. These ratings are a basis for advertising tariff and volume, hence very important for these TV channels.
This is third week to this rating chart presentation. We have made a graphical representation of the actual ratings of TV channels and their shows, as reported by the ratings agency. These are easy to understand for everyone and one can easily compare who is leading the race of rating with a huge margin.
The graphs below show ratings of different TV channels at different times of the day. These graphs show the average rating of each show in the given time slot. Ratings for weekdays and weekends are shown separately.

Programs that are aired in week days (Monday to Thursday)
Time Slot: 7pm-8pm
In the 7pm to 8pm time slot on weekdays, (Nuqta e Nazar) on Dunya TV took a lead for second time which shows its popularity.
Time Slot: 8pm-9pm
In the 8pm to 9pm time slot on weekdays, Capital Talk on Geo is a sure win. Samaa is next on the line.
Time Slot: 9pm-10pm (News Hour)
In 9 pm -10 pm time slot this week we have also made comparison of two main sports channels of Pakistan since there was a PSL fever running everywhere. The comparison between Geo Super and PTV Sports show that people preferred PTV Sports to watch PSL Live Streaming. The next most watched channel was Geo News for hourly news. Geo super is third most watched channel.
Time Slot: 10pm-11pm
In the 10-11pm time slot, PTV Sports is leading with a huge gap that clearly shows that we as a nation are true lovers and followers of cricket.
Time Slot: 11pm-12am
From 11 pm to 12 am, PTV Sports is once again on the top that shows how much people loved PSL and followed PTV Sports for its coverage.
Programs that are aired on weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
Time Slot: 7pm-8pm
On weekends, 7-8pm, Samaa is on lead this week with its crime and thrill shows.
Time Slot: 8pm-9pm
On weekends in 8pm – 9pm time slot, all channels are competing very well but Samaa took a lead.
Time Slot: 9pm-10pm (News Hour)
This one hour is alloted to news on all channels. The graph above clearly shows that people have given preference to PSL matches over news. PTV Sports is on a visible lead with PSL Live Coverage.
Time Slot: 10pm-11pm
10pm-11pm time slot on weekends again made a mark with PTV Sports on top which means it was PSL every where and hence PTV Sports, the most watched.
Time Slot: 11pm-12am
Without a doubt, its PSL again. PSL has made the country go crazy after cricket fever.
