LONDON (Staff report) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has said that the United States Secretary of State John Kerry informed him last night at 10pm about the drone strike on Taliban leader Mullah Akhtar Mansour.
While addressing the media in London, Nawaz said that confirmation had yet not been received regarding the death of Mullah Mansour. However, he added that US drone strikes within Pakistan were a breach of the country’s sovereignty.
The PM also confirmed that a US military commander told Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif about the attack.
