LAHORE – Samsung Electronics has announced the launch of its Galaxy A27 5G smartphone, featuring an upgraded display, improved performance and a range of artificial intelligence tools.
The new model, which succeeds the Galaxy A26 5G, comes with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display offering a 120Hz refresh rate. It also features an Infinity-O punch-hole design and narrower, more balanced bezels.
The smartphone has a 7.8mm-thick body, which the company says is designed to offer a comfortable grip during extended use.
The Galaxy A27 5G is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 mobile platform. According to Samsung, the chipset and upgraded high-speed memory provide faster data transfers, improved power efficiency and smoother graphics for gaming and video streaming.
The device also features a 12-megapixel front camera designed to capture a wider range of brightness and more natural colours under different lighting conditions.
Among its AI-powered features is an upgraded version of Google’s Circle to Search. The feature now supports the recognition of multiple objects in a single image, allowing users to search for items such as clothes and accessories simultaneously.
Samsung said users would also be able to virtually try on outfits through compatible search results.
The Galaxy A27 5G will be available in selected markets from Aug 7 in black, blue, light green and light pink. The availability of colours may differ depending on the country or mobile operator.
The company said Samsung Care+ coverage would also be offered, although service terms, promotional benefits and applicable fees would vary across markets.
