KARACHI – Eminent social worker Abdul Sattar Edhi has been shifted to a ventilator after his condition reportedly deteriorated during a routine dialysis procedure on Friday, according to the philanthropist’s son, Faisal Edhi, who spoke to news persons in the presence of his mother, Begum Bilquees Edhi.
He explained that Sattar Edhi kidney’s had failed three years ago and he had been undergoing dialysis ever since.
Faisal appealed to the people to pray for his father’s early recovery. He said that condition of Sattar Edhi had been finding it difficult to breath, due to which he was put on a ventilator.
He said that his father would remain on the ventilator till his condition improved.
Faisal said that Sattar Edhi was being treated at the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) and that the family was satisfied with the treatment he had received there.
