BAKU (Web Desk) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has categorically clarified that the federal capital Islamabad would remain open citing the October 30 lock down call by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
In an unexpected tone, PM Nawaz mentioned his political foe Imran Khan and said that Imran wanted to shut down Islamabad while we desire to keep it open. He said that despite vilification by his arch rivals, PML-N respected mandate of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Talking to newsmen on Saturday in Baku, the premier maintained that the impression of slow paced development work on China-Pakistan economic corridor was false. CPEC project should not be politicized, he said.
He opined that Pakistan could engage in talks with India subject to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s serious intention as the core issue between the neighbors was Kashmir and India always tried to sideline the issue.
he went on to claim that the economy has witnessed a growth during PML-N stint adding that the energy crises would be eradicated by 2018. He indicated that he would not approve the summary seeking hike in gas prices.
The Premier is touring Azerbaijan now a days where multiple trade agreements are being inked to bolster the ties between the two countries.
