Gen Raheel inaugurates Shabbir Sharif Hospital in native village

RAWALPINDI – Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Sunday visited his native town of Kunjah and inaugurated the newly-built Shabbir Sharif Hospital.

According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), notables of the area were present on the occasion.

The COAS visited different sections of the hospital alongside adviser to Chief Minister on Health Khawaja Salman Rafique.

He met the under-treatment patients, inquired after their health and prayed for their early recovery.

The hospital named after Major Shabbir Sharif, brother of Gen Raheel is the only person ever who received both the Nishan-e-Haider and Sitara-e-Jurat for his bravery. He was martyred during the war of 1971.
