RAWALPINDI – Pakistan army has categorically denied rumours about the posting of Lt. General Aamir Riaz on Monday.
Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Asim Bajwa took to Twitter and clarified that any news regarding postings or promotions of Lt. Generals in Pakistan army are untrue and baseless.

Earlier, the rumours were rife on local and social media that Corps Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Aamir Riaz was appointed as Chief of General Staff.
Earlier Radio Pakistan had announced the promotion of Gen Aamir Riaz.
