Pakistan s cricket team returns home after back to back defeats

LAHORE – The Pakistani cricket teamr landed back home after winding up the Australia tour here on Saturday.

Cricketers Umar Akmal, Azhar Ali, Wahab Riaz, Muhammad Aamir, Hassan Ali, Muhammad Hafeez and Babar Azam reached Lahore.

Scores of media representatives tried to interact with the Pakistani team members but the players kept mum and opined that the cricketing board did not allow them to express their viewpoint. However, a few of the cricket fans got chance to take selfies with players.

Pakistan lost One Day international series against Australia by 4-1 and was white washed in 3 matches by host side in Test format.

Apart from the defeat, Pakistan’s skipper Azhar Ali was handed a match penalty by the International Cricket Council for slow over rate. He will also pay fine for the mistake.

Pakistani team will now face West Indies in their next contest scheduled in April.
