CJP Saqib Nisar takes notice of women trafficking in twin cities

ISLAMABAD – Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar on Friday took notice of selling of women in twin cities and sought report from Inspector General of Punjab Police and Islamabad Police.

The Chief Justice took action following a news item that revealed the heinous crime. According to the news, innumerable women from Pakistan are sold to Afghanistan by an organised gang comprising 150 members), which does this through fake Nikkah.

It further states, a 40-year-old woman, mother of three kids hailing from Rawalpindi, has been sold to different hands and reached Afghanistan.

Her abductors had demanded Rs 300,000 to return the lady while the Rawalpindi police admitted that it can not do anything in this situation as the incident happened in Swabi.
