THATTA – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will address a public meeting in Thatta today (Thursday), it has been learnt.
Today’s political gathering in Sindh will be an informal start of the campaign for the next general elections as confirmed by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Senator Nehal Hashmi.
The politically influential Shirazi family of Thatta has been given the responsibility to make arrangements for the meeting, which will take place at Makli Ground.
The premier will reach Old Terminal of the Karachi airport at around 12:30 pm and then travel to Thatta on a helicopter.
Nawaz Sharif is expected to announce scores of mega projects for the people of Thatta and adjoining areas. This is the first ever public meeting of prime minister Nawaz Sharif during his current stint.
As the election draws closer, PML-N is eyeing to bag political victory from Sindh, which is considered a major stronghold of Pakistan Peoples Party.
