KARACHI – An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Monday declaring Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan head Farooq Sattar a proclaimed offender issued non-bailable arrest warrants against him, local media reported.
As per the details, police had presented a report on Saturday before the court and asked to take action under Sections 87 (proclamation for persons absconding) and 88 (attachment of property of person absconding) of the Criminal Procedure Code after they were unable to execute the warrants issued against Sattar, Altaf Hussain, Amir Khan and 30 others.
On Friday, police had arrested Sattar following the cases pertaining to the incendiary Aug 22 speech of MQM founder Altaf Hussain due to which violent protest erupted, besides attack on media houses.
