Four drown at Karachi s Hawke s Bay beach

KARACHI – In a tragic turn of events, four people drowned in the Karachi’s Hawkes Bay beach as they tried to cool themselves in the water on Tuesday.

According to rescue sources, three dead bodies were recovered, while the last one has yet to be found.

Regrettably, Pakistan’s metropolis witnesses incidents of drowning in the summer season, when picnickers swarm the beaches to beat the soaring temperatures in the city, ignoring warnings from the civil administration to stay away from deep waters.

Recently, on May 14, four people, residents of Baldia Town drowned at the same Hawke’s Bay beach.

In 2015, three people were swept away by a strong tide in the Gadani beach while in 2014, 23 people drowned in Clifton beach despite a ban on swimming in the sea. Both the incidents took place during the Eid holidays.
