ISLAMABAD – An earthquake on Saturday jolted Pakistan’s capital city, Islamabad and different parts of the country, local media reported.
The tremors shook Swat, Muzzafarabad, Mansehra, Neelam Valley, Peshawar, Abbottabad, Kohistan and other cities.
The intensity of the earthquake was recorded at 5.2 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of the earthquake was near Kaghan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
No any causality or damage to property was reported so far.
On June 28, a 5.3 magnitude earthquake hit northern areas of Pakistan and sparked panic among people.
The tremors of the quake were felt in Chitral, Peshawar, Swat, Dir, Malakand and other northern areas.
On June 26, tremors were felt in different cities of country. The magnitude of the earthquake was measured at 5.5 on Richter scale.
