ISLAMABAD – The Supreme Court of Pakistan ordered to publicise the name of individual who leaked the picture of Hussain Nawaz.
During today’s hearing regarding the petition filed by premier’s elder son Hussain Nawaz, the attorney general argued that the federal government had no issue with revealing the name of the individual behind the leak.
The apex court remarked that the federal government could initiate proceedings against the said individual as well.
The court observed that the government can form a commission over the picture leak issue if it wants to.
The prime minister’s son had petitioned the top court asking for the formation of a judicial commission to probe the leaking of his picture during a session of the Panama case Joint Investigation Team (JIT). The government, over the weekend, had submitted its response on the issue on the directions of the bench.
A three-member bench comprising Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed, Justice Ijazul Ahsan and Justice Ejaz Afzal heard the case.
