OIC condemns Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir

YAMOUSSOUKRO – Deploring state terrorism in Indian-Occupied Kashmir, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has urged India to implement the UN Security Council resolutions in order to settle the Kashmir issue.

The Indian atrocities were condemned during 44th session of OIC Council of Foreign Ministers on Tuesday in Cote d’Ivoire.

The Council also asked the United Nations and the international community to come up for ending bloodshed in the occupied Kashmir and establish peace in the region.

The 56 members of the council also approved a resolution seeking early settlement of the core issues between India and Pakistan.

The Council also endorsed the Kashmiris right to self-determination and remarked that the just struggle of Kashmiris for freedom could not be considered as terrorism.

It condemned the use of live ammunition and pellet guns by Indian forces that were resulting in mass blinding and killings of innocent Kashmiris, Radio Pakistan reported.

Participants of the meeting also expressed reservations over Indian attempts to bring demographic changes in the occupied Kashmir.
