MQM-P expels MNA Salman Baloch over ethics violation

KARACHI – Muttahida Quami Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) has threw out its lawmaker, MNA Salman Mujahid Baloch from the party on violation of code of conduct.

The decision to revoke his membership was taken during a high-level meeting of the party following the recommendation of the disciplinary committee, the MQM-P spokesman said, adding that the minister has been asked to tender resignation.

He also urged other party members not to have any link with Baloch as he has been expelled from the party.

Salman claimed that the party had ousted him over concerns for the expulsion of Erum Naseem.

He said while talking to a current affairs programme on a private channel that they could not ask him to leave as the party belongs to everyone.

Baloch was elected as a lawmaker from NA-239, Keamari, in the 2013 elections.
