Ahsan Iqbal says particular lobby provoking unconstitutional acts

LAHORE – Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal on Saturday said that a specific segment of the society intended to develop a narrative to instigate unconstitutional acts for their vested interests.

Talking to media, he said that a group, comprising failed politicians, retired generals and TV presenters, daily appeared on TV and made claims about economic and political stability of the country.

He reiterated that there is no clash between institutions, adding that the election will be conducted in time.

 

Earlier, speaking at the International Business Conference and Exhibition, the minister said that economy of Pakistan has improved with the efforts of the incumbent government.

He said productivity, quality and innovation are the core conditions to achieve growth and development, adding that peace and political stability is imperative for the development of the Pakistan, Radio Pakistan reported.
