Three dead bodies left under open sky in US as PIA staff brings back own luggage

LAHORE – The financially strapped Pakistan International Airlines while winding up its US operation on Sunday registered another low as it left behind three dead bodies at the John F. Kennedy International Airport in a bid to bring back staff luggage.

This incident took place on Sunday when the PIA staff preferred to carry its own belongings including crockery and napkins while completely ignoring over the dead bodies kept at the cargo office of the airport.

The bereaved family members boarded the same PIA flight from New York thinking that the dead bodies must have been shifted to the luggage cabin of craft, however, to their dismay, they landed at the Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore just to find out that the staff did not show any interest in shifting the caskets which were later found to be present under the open sky at the airport.

The deceased belonged to Lahore, Sahiwal and Gujrat and according to latest reports, the grief-stricken relatives of two of the deceased boarded flights to New York again.

Taking aim at the pathetic services offered by the PIA, the heirs of the deceased expressed that they had finalised the arrangements for funeral prayers as well.
