Female celebrities are coming together and sharing their own experiences with sexual harassment via social media.

Soon after the horrible incident of Zainab, the eight year old girl who kidnapped, raped and murdered in Kasur Pakistani celebrities broke their silence and shared their stories. Sexual abuse and such topics have always been a taboo in our society , talking about it was never on the table, but things changed after this heart wrenching incident took place.

Famous actress Nadia Jamil was the first celebrity who stepped up , with all the courage shared her sexual abuse story and tweeted;

The most disturbing part about it is that such incidents are taking place for too long now and it is not restricted to one gender or age. Young boys and girls are regularly sexually harassed by our “Maulvi’s”.

Surviors not victims!!

Women from all backgrounds came together and appreciated the effort and the courage of these ladies. Senator Sherry Rehman along with Mahira Khan tweeted supporting these ladies for standing up against the demons which have been haunting them and so many others for so long!

There are thousands of girls and boys out there who kept it all to themselves and never got the courage or a chance to speak up against sexual abuse. The word “sexual abuse” might break every single string of courage you have inside you , pinching yourself to get out of every single flashback you get of the incident , to keep yourself sane, content putting up a smile so you fit in might not do good for you as you shouldn’t be ashamed of yourself or who you are IT’S TIME to fight back!!!
