LAHORE – Six local leaders of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) have pledged their allegiance to the opposition Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
PTI’s central Punjab leader Aleem Khan claimed on Friday that six local leaders from Lodhran and other areas called on him in Lahore and assured their support to the PTI’s candidate in the Lodhran by-polls.
The politicians expressed their full confidence in the leadership of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, according to Aleem Khan.
They belong to the Arain community and enjoy full popularity in their respective areas, Khan was quoted by Pakistan Today as saying.
