Indian ceasefire violations on LoC threat to regional peace and security: FO

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has lodged strong protest over unprovoked Indian ceasefire violations on Line of Control, according to Radio Pakistan.

Foreign office summoned the Indian Deputy High Commissioner J.P. Singh and condemned the unprovoked ceasefire violations by the Indian occupation forces along the Line of Control at Nikial Sector and Thurti Narr village resulting in the martyrdom of an innocent civilian while injuring three others.

In a statement, Foreign office spokesman Dr Muhammad Faisal said ceasefire violations by India are a threat to regional peace and security and may lead to a strategic miscalculation.

The spokesperson added that Indian forces during this year have carried out more than 400 ceasefire violations along the Line of Control and the Working Boundary, resulting in the martyrdom of 17 innocent civilians and injuries to 68 others.
