NAB chief allows Ahad Cheema s meeting with wife on humanitarian grounds

LAHORE – Detained former director general of Lahore Development Authority Ahad Cheema on Monday met his wife after the latter accused the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) of not giving her access.

The NAB released a photo of the meeting, which continued for over an hour. According to a notification issued by the anti-corruption watchdog, NAB chief Justice (retired) Javed Iqbal had granted permission of the meeting on the basis of humanitarian grounds.

It added that the bureau performed its duties according to the law. It stated that department did not believe in discriminatory behaviour with the suspects.

In the picture, Ahad Cheema can be seen healthy and holding talks with his wife in a pleasant mood.
