Major terrorist attack averted in Hyderabad as three bombs defused

HYDERABAD – Law enforcement agencies on Friday arrested five members of a banned terrorist organisation, saving Hyderabad from a major terrorist attack, reported local media.

The security forces raided a house located near Hatai bypass after receiving intelligence operation and rounded up the suspected terrorists, who were planning an attack in the city today.

Three bombs containing 15 kilograms of explosive material and prepared with ball bearings, bolts and nuts were also recovered from their possession. The bombs were defused by the bomb disposal squad.

Geo New quoting sources stated that the suspects are likely to be responsible for creating bombs found in Hyderabad and Jamshoro, in the past few months.

The arrested suspects were shifted to an unknown location for further interrogation.
