Abid Boxer still in UAE, FIA informs Lahore High Court

LAHORE -The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Interpol Desk Director Tariq Nawaz Malik has informed Lahore High Court that Abid Boxer was still in United Arab Emirates, contrary to media reports that he had been extradited to Pakistan.

The FIA official surprised the judiciary during the hearing of a petition filed by the former police inspector’s family seeking his protection on Friday, despite earlier reports that he was detained in Karachi.

Sources within the law enforcement agencies had previously confirmed that Abid, who has been at large for 11 years, was brought back to Pakistan’s biggest city Karachi by the law enforcement agencies.
