NAB chairman suspends its Lahore deputy director over misuse of authority

ISLAMABAD – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has suspended its Lahore Deputy Director Ramazan on the charges of corruption and misconduct.

According to NAB officials, the chairman NAB has ordered an inquiry against acting Deputy Director Lahore over the misuse of authority, adding that he will be given a clear chance to defend the allegations.

The  NAB had earlier suspended its Sukkur acting Deputy Director Kashif Mumtaz Gondal on the charges of corruption and misconduct for three months.

According to NAB, its Chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal, while assuming the office, had warned all the Bureau officers to refrain from indulging in corruption as the dishonesty had no place in the Bureau, and necessary action would be taken against the officials involved in the violation of laws.
