NEW DELHI (Web Desk) – In a surprise move, leader of Indian-held Kashmir Syed Ali Shah Geelani has rejected the Pakistan High Commission’s invitation for an Eid Milan due on July 21.
He rejected the invitation on the pretext the Kashmir issue was ignored by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif during his meeting with Indian premier Modi on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit in Ufa, Russia.
He said he will register his protest by not attending the Eid Milan since the two leaders did not discuss Kashmir during their meeting.
