Sharifs brainstorm political situation in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD – Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif met his brother and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif at the Ministers’ Enclave in Islamabad on Monday.

The former chief minister, who is under the radar of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in the Ashiana-i-Iqbal scam, has been residing in the enclave which has been declared a sub-jail.

Nawaz Sharif had arrived in the capital to appear before the accountability court in the Flagship reference which is nearing its completion.

In the meeting, the Sharif brothers discussed corruption cases filed by the anti-graft body and the current political situation and party’s position.

Earlier on Monday, the younger Sharif was declared medically fit by a team of doctors who thoroughly examined him and handed over the medical certificate to NAB.

Both the brothers are entangled in legal troubles with Nawaz Sharif bogged down in the fallout of Panama Papers and Shehbaz Sharif battling corruption charges in the projects started in his tenure as CM Punjab.
