Pakistan to witness lunar eclipse (Chand Grahan) on September 16

LAHORE – Pakistan will witness penumbral lunar eclipse on September 16 and it will be visible in all regions of the country, Met office said on Saturday.

“Eclipse will begin on September 16 at 09:55pm, and end on September 17 at 01:54am”, Dr Ghulam Rasul told Daily Pakistan.

The eclipse will also be visible in Asia, Africa, Australia, West Pacific and Europe.

Rain expected during Eid holidays

He Said that dust and thunderstorms coupled with light to moderate rain is expected during the Eid holidays. It will not be a continuous spell, though, as only isolated rain is expected on all the three days.

“Light to moderate intermittent showers are expected in the upper parts of the country during the coming week. The month, however, will continue to remain hot and humid”, he added.

However, showers will turn the hot and humid weather pleasant, DG Met predicted.
