Shahid Afridi set to host Ramazan transmission on Pakistan’s leading channel

KARACHI – Pakistan’s former cricketer Shahid Afridi would be trying his luck, for the first time on the television screen as he would be hosting a Ramazan transmission, this year.

According to the details, Afridi, who entertained plethora of cricket enthusiasts during his 20-years-long cricketing stint would now host Ramazan transmission ‘Shan e Ramazan’ on Ary Digital.

He would be assisted by political analyst and anchor Waseem Badami and Iqrar Ul Hassan, a formal announcement of which came on Sunday.

The famous Badami-Iqrar duo welcomed the flamboyant all-rounder on board amid shooting the promo for this year’s transmission.

The bigwigs of Pakistan’s leading channel picked Afridi for the premier transmission after the televangelist Junaid Jamshed who hosted the same transmission till 2016,  lost his life in the PK-661 crash on December 9, last year.

It bears mentioning that Afridi came close to the management of ARY after his split from Peshawar Zalmi team following the Pakistan Super League season 2.

Apart from hosting his first-ever mega transmission, he was roped in by Karachi Kings, a team owned by the same media conglomerate, last month.
