BANNU – At least five civilians, including three women and a child, were killed, and four others critically injured when a suicide bomber targeted a police station in Bannu on Friday, according to security officials.
Authorities identified the assailants as militants affiliated with Fitna al-Khawarij, who attempted the attack at the Domail police station.
The injured were promptly transported to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.
Security forces and rescue teams are currently engaged in clearing debris, assisting victims, and conducting search operations in the affected area to ensure public safety.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif strongly condemned the suicide attack on a police station in Domail, Bannu district. Expressing sorrow over the loss of precious lives, he prayed for the swift recovery of the injured.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s resolve, stating, “We are determined to eliminate all forms of terrorism from the country.”
