ISLAMABAD – Government is considering a proposal to weekly holiday of Saturday for employees of the federal departments.
The government has sought recommendations in this regard. It is expected that the weekly off would be abolished from July 1, 2024.
Most of the federal departments observe two weekly holidays on Saturday and Sunday. The decision to abolish one of the weekly holiday is expected to draw criticism from the government employees.
