Maryam Nawaz appointed PML-N s Vice President as Shehbaz Sharif okays massive reshuffle

LONDON – Maryam Nawaz Sharif was appointed the vice president of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz amongst others as party president Shehbaz Sharif green-signalled massive reshuffle in the party.

The reshuffle coincided with the dismissal of bail extension plea forwarded by former premier Nawaz Sharif; Shehbaz Sharif-led party issued notification appointing former interior minister Ahsan Iqbal as the Secretary General of the party.

Former premier Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was appointed as the sole Senior Vice President of the party; the party appointed 16 presidents including Abid Sher Ali, Khawaja Saad Rafiq, Khurram Dastgir, Mian Javed Latif among others.

Former finance minister Ishaq Dar was appointed the president of international affairs of the party.

Shehbaz Sharif tweeted that the changes were made in consultation with Nawaz Sharif and other senior leaders.

Punjab

Former law minister Punjab, Rana Sanaullah was appointed the president of party’s Punjab chapter while Sardar Awais Leghari was made General Secretary.

Sindh

Miftah Ismail was made General Secretary of Sindh while Ali Akbar Gujjar was appointed as the senior vice president; Salman Ali Khan was appointed the president of PML-N Karachi.
