BARBADOS – Barbados – West Indies defeated Pakistan by 106 runs on the final day of the second Test in Bridgetown on Thursday.
Pakistan started the fifth day at the Kensington Oval requiring 188 runs but the visitors were blown away by the Windies bowlers who levelled the series at 1-1.
The third and concluding test at Roseau starts on May 10.
Ahmed Shehzad scored just 17 runs before getting dismissed by WI skipper Holder. Sarfraz Ahmed and Mohammad Amir tried to consolidate the batting with 42 runs before Amir fell to Gabriel.
The last wicket to fall was that of Sarfraz Ahmed who remained top-scorer with 23 to his name.
On the other hand, West Indies lost their last wicket in the very first over of Day-5 after ending the previous day on 264/9.
Yasir Shah gave tough time to the Windies batting lineup by picking seven wickets off 94 runs in his 39.5 overs. Young pacer Mohammad Abbas took two vital wickets of Kieran Powell and Vishaul Singh.
Shai Hope was the top-scorer in West Indies’ batting order with 90 runs. He fell short of a hundred and became the victim of Yasir Shah.
Pakistan previously got a lead of 81 runs in the first innings. Windies posted a total of 268 in second innings.

A win in this Test will not only help the visitors seal the three-match Test series but it will be also the first time in 60 years that they will win a Test series on Caribbean soil.
Pakistan have been in great form as they claimed the top spot in ICC Test team ranking for the first time after levelling the four-match Test series 2-2 against England.
In the previous match, Younis became the only Pakistan player to score 10,000 Test runs while Misbah remained 99* as the tourists won by seven wickets in Kingston.
The 18-year old leg-spinner Shadab is making Test debut. Wahab Riaz has been left out.

Pakistan, already leading the three-match test series 1-0, will be eyeing to make history by winning the second test match and go on to take an unassailable 2-0 lead.
Pakistan, thanks to the efforts of Yasir Shah, steam rolled the hosts in the Jamaica test by seven wickets. Younis Khan made history by becoming the first Pakistani batsman to score 10000 test runs.
The sub-continent side has already won the Twenty20 and one-day series against the hosts.
