New spell of monsoon showers expected today

ISLAMABAD (APP) - Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast more monsoon rain in different parts of the country from July 5 to 10.

The Met Office said monsoon rains thunder shower with isolated heavy falls is likely over Islamabad, upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Lahore and Sahiwal divisions), Hazara division and Kashmir from Sunday night.

It said rain-thunder shower is also likely in most parts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir from Tuesday to Friday.

However, very hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country.

About Karachi, PMD said the city may receive drizzle Sunday evening/night, with overcast sky and light winds making weather pleasant.
