Two civilians injured in unprovoked firing by India across LoC

RAWALPINDI – In a fresh act of aggression, Indian army resorted to firing in Bagsar Sector of Line of Control (LOC) leaving two civilians wounded, Inter-Services Public Relations stated on Wednesday.

The military’s media wing said the injured were identified as 55-year-old Azmat Bibi, and Baba Jan, son of Ghulam Muhammad, (age 75 years, resident of Mera village).

Besides deliberately targeting civilians, India continues with false claims, alleging Pakistan Army for targeting civilian population across the LoC in Indian Occupied Kashmir, stated the ISPR in a statement.

“Pakistan Army has many a times expressed its principle ethical stance of never targeting civilian population, being a highly professional force, let alone the already suppressed Kashmiri brethren across the LOC in IOK,” it added.

The media wing continued that the deliberate targeting of innocent civilians in AJ&K by Indian Army shall never go unnoticed and Pakistan army will defend the citizens at all cost through effective and targeted response.

The army’s media cell said that in the air and maritime domains, Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan Navy continue maintaining state of vigilance and alertness.

India has been resorting to repeated violation of the ceasefire along the line of control as per Pakistan Army which lost two soldiers in an act of aggression by its eastern neighbour a few days ago.

Tension between Indian and Pakistan escalated after Indian violated the Line of Control last week, claiming that it had carried out a surgical strike at Balakot area of Pakistan.
