KARACHI – Pak Sar Zameen Party chairman Mustafa Kamal clarified that former Muttahida Qaumi Movement politician Saleem Shahzad who had returned to Karachi yesterday had no place in his party.
Speaking to newsmen in Peshawar, Kamal said that Saleem Shahzad had not returned to join PSP.
‘There are some people who have no place in our party. I do not like taking names but since Saleem Shahzad’s name has popped up time and again, I am left with no option but to come out clear about him’ said Kamal.
He blamed Indian agency RAW for subversive activities in metropolis from the last 22 years.
‘Investigation from the Scotland Yard also endorses this,’ he asserted.
He maintained that the fight in Karachi had reached its next level but despite political differences they will only engage in debate avoiding violence.
Elaborating his trip to Peshawar he said he was here to select presidents for seven divisions of the party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Saleem Shahzad, a former member of MQM had landed in Karachi ending his self-exile on Monday. He was arrested shortly after landing and was shifted to Gaddap police station for further interrogation.
He would be presented before the anti-terrorism court today.
Political analysts opine that Saleem’s entry in Pakistani politics is something of extraordinary importance and it was not a run of the mill development however, Saleem has yet to announce his political strategy.
