Punjab government to redesign Metro Bus Stations

RAWALPINDI (Online) – Following the inundation at several stations, the Punjab government has accorded approval to change the design of metro bus stations.

Under the new design, shades of the bus stations will be extended to ward off rainwater from dripping in during rains

Fences will also be erected on both sides of metro bus route from IJP Road to Secretariat bus station, said an official who had attended a meeting presided by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Pus Project Director Zahid Saeed, MD NESPAK, Hanif Abbasi and others were present in the meeting.

Saeed told the meeting that the seepage from roofs of metro bus stations has been overcome but change in its design was must for preventing the rainwater from entering the stations in the future.
