Turkey s air chief discusses security situation with COAS Gen Bajwa

RAWALPINDI – General Hasan Kucukakayuz, Commander Turkish Air Force called on General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) at General Head Quarters, on Wednesday.

Matters of mutual and professional interest including regional security situation were discussed during the meeting; both expressed satisfaction on the brotherly relations between the two countries.

The visiting official was also awarded Nishan-i-Imtiaz (Military) by President Arif Alvi at a prestigious ceremony held at the Aiwan-e-Sadar in Islamabad.

President Arif Alvi also felicitated him during a call on and said Pakistan and Turkey enjoyed an unparalleled fraternal relationship embedded in a shared cultural and religious heritage.

He said bilateral ties between the two countries had now transformed into a strong strategic partnership over the years.

The president said both Pakistan and Turkey had supported each other in adversities. He also appreciated Turkish support during recent tensions with India.

PAF lauded for Indigenization

General Hasan Kucukakyuz also called on Air Chief Mujahid Anwar Khan at the Air Headquarters in Islamabad wherein he discussed bilateral relations, regional peace and security.

The Air Chief said that Turkey has always stood by Pakistan in the hour of trial. The visiting official also appreciated Pakistan Air Force’s efforts towards indigenization.
