PTI s Ali Amin Gandapur accused of facilitating parade of naked girl by fellow lawmaker

PESHAWAR – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Member of National Assembly Dawar Khan Kundi has accused his own party member and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Minister Ali Amin Gandapur of providing ‘logistic and physical support’ to the criminals involved in parading an orphan girl naked in Dera Ismail Khan.

In a letter laced with scathing allegations, addressed to Party chief Imran Khan, Dawar has demanded justice for the orphan girl to avoid ‘the wrath of Allah’ seeking the removal of Gandapur.

The legislator in his communication on November 8, stated that Gandapur’s alleged involvement in the case ‘lowers our head in shame’.

Dawar claimed that he personally investigated the matter and found the PTI K-P minister responsible for harbouring the accused, which brought shame to the party.

“I visited the family a week before and they asked, in fact requested, me to make sure that Ali Amin Gandapur, Revenue minister K-P, may be forced and asked to withdraw his support from the criminals,” Dawar’s letter reads.

“You must ask CM K-P Parvez Khattak to remove Gandapur from his ministerial portfolio and ask forgiveness from the bereaved family.” it adds.

A copy of the letter has also been forwarded to Secretary-General and all the legislators of PTI but Chairman Imran Khan has yet to respond to this letter.
