Phone service to remain suspended on Independence Day

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) –Interior Ministry has written a letter to Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to suspended cellular services in Islamabad on the occasion of Independence Day (ID).
The mobile phone service will remain suspended for six hours from 6:00am till 12:00pm on Sunday as the part of security measures for IDcelebrations planned in the federal capital.
Preparations are underway across the country to celebrate the ID on 14th August in a befitting manner. Houses, streets and bazaars are being decorated with buntings, banners and national flags.
Special stalls have been set up in markets and bazaars for sale of national flags and green caps, which are making roaring business.
