Misbah eyes on Test cricket after retirement from ODI

KARACHI (Web Desk) – Incumbent captain of Pakistan cricket team Misbah-ul Haq has said that after retiring from One-day Internationals and T20 cricket after 2015 he would be focusing on longest format of the game.
Talking to a private Tv channel, Misbah said that this was the best time for him to isolate himself from limited overs cricket and focus on Test cricket. “I have already informed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) that I will be retiring from one-day cricket after the World Cup,” he added.
He wished to fulfill the expectations of the nation regarding upcoming Cricket World Cup. This World Cup will be my last one-day international event and I hope I can come up to the expectations of the nation, he explained.
Misbah was made Test captain in late 2010 after the spot fixing scandal in England and in mid-2011 he also took over as ODI and T20 captain. The PCB however later had appointed Muhammad Hafeez as the national T20 captain leaving Misbah to lead the Test and one-day side.
